Dive in Majahuitas!

Located on the south side of the bay, Majahuitas is just a relaxing, 45-minute boat ride away, offering the perfect dive for anyone looking for a more leisurely time in the underwater world.

This is the only dive site in Puerto Vallarta where you can see the Cortez Garden eel in large numbers. We start just south of the beach Majahuitas, named for a species of tall grass that grows in the nearby mountains.

Dive as deep as eight meters/30 feet all the way down to 33 meters/100 feet. All dives follow the same route, with the big difference being the wealth of aquatic life you can encounter depending on the depth. The deeper you dive, the greater your chance of coming face-to-face with stingrays, fish nurseries and garden eels.

On the shallow dive, you find yourself in the middle of an abundance of tropical fish with a good chance to see eagle rays, turtles and possibly even a passing manta ray if we are lucky enough.

Majahuitas is also one of the best dive sites to photograph nudibranches since there are very rarely strong currents in these waters.

The icing on this already tempting cake? You may choose to have your lunch on a secluded beach, away from the world with nothing but time and good company.

We select the second dive based on the conditions of the day with the option of any of the dive sites along this coast.
